A recent sunshine request revealed a “Social Justice Student Survey” used in FHSD middle school home rooms. Students are encouraged to sign up for a “student committee” that would be part of their school day.
This “survey” is rife with the narrative of Critical Race Theory. Students are encouraged to express their interest in learning more about:
- Identity
- Name Calling and Racial Slurs
- The Truth About American History
- Equity and Dignity
- How to Have Courageous Conversations
- Respecting Differences
- LGBTQ+ Issues
- Privilege
- Racial Equality
- How to Become an Advocate (a person who stands up publicly for an issue) for others
- How to Become an Advocate (a person who stands up publicly for an issue) for yourself
