Meet the Candidates
Director Jane Puszkar serves as an incumbent member of the Francis Howell School Board, contributing leadership across the District’s strategic areas of Teaching and Learning, People and Workforce, Finance and Operations, and Safety and Security. She is committed to strengthening curriculum, ensuring instructional materials are appropriate and relevant, and supporting a back‑to‑basics academic approach. Her voting record includes support for policies prohibiting DEI and CRT.
Director Puszkar has advanced workforce stability by voting to correct missed steps for teachers and by encouraging the consideration of qualified internal candidates for open positions. As Treasurer, she applied her Accounting degree and MBA to ensure transparent, responsible stewardship of district resources.
She has also championed student safety, supporting policies for reviewing questionable library materials, recommending safety vestibules at all schools, and voting for School Resource Officers. Director Puszkar remains dedicated to protecting students’ physical and emotional well‑being while upholding community values.
She brings a strong sense of responsibility, financial expertise, and a commitment to educational excellence to her service on the Board.
Lauren Greenwood is a wife, mother, and 20-yr resident grounded in values of faith and family. She is committed to serving the Francis Howell community with integrity, accountability, and respect for parental involvement. She has two daughters currently attending Francis Howell schools—one in middle school and one in high school—giving her a direct stake in the district’s success and future.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and has built a career in Graphic/Web Design, User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI), and Human-Centered Design (HCD).
Lauren is running for school board to protect taxpayer dollars, keep classrooms focused on the basics, and ensure parents remain active partners in their children’s education. She believes schools should prioritize core curriculum—reading, writing, math, and science—while removing age-inappropriate materials and eliminating political bias.
“I want policies that protect children’s innocence and restore trust in experts. I’ll take a careful approach to building projects and focus resources on hiring and retaining quality staff—because strong teachers build strong futures, and uncorrupted minds create a better world.”

David is a dedicated community member who values transparency, accountability, and academic excellence. He is committed to fiscal responsibility by ensuring rigorous oversight of project proposals and maintaining accountability in budget approvals and management. Previous boards allowed costly overruns due to ad hoc additions to already budgeted projects—David will work to prevent these mistakes and protect taxpayer dollars.
He is passionate about creating a safe, age-appropriate learning environment by removing pornographic and sexually explicit materials from school libraries, ensuring our schools remain focused on education and student success.
