In a triumph for vigilant families, the Francis Howell School District has removed or restricted almost two-thirds of the books reviewed for containing age inappropriate passages and themes unfit for young students.

District administrators, after a thorough review, agreed that these titles were inappropriate, leading to the outright removal of 22 books from all school levels and the restriction of 3 additional titles to high school only, thereby protecting middle school children from harmful exposure. Notably, the majority of these books were deemed not to meet age appropriateness requirements per district Policy 6310.

Francis Howell Family candidates Jane Puszkar, Lauren Greenwood, and David Jaworski have repeatedly highlighted that many of our books are not age appropriate, especially some available to children as young as 11

If you want to know why these books needed to go, please click on the link for reviews and excerpts from a couple of these books. We didn’t even feel comfortable putting some of the excerpts in this article.

Remember, the Progressive candidates backed by FHEA, a teacher’s union, continue to deny that age-inappropriate books exist in our libraries. They have adopted an uncompromising stance, remaining dismissive of concerned parents and denying the undeniable truth that age-inappropriate materials are infiltrating our school libraries.

On April 7, 2026, vote for Jane Puszkar, Lauren Greenwood, and David Jaworski. They will fight to keep taxes low, spend your money wisely, and remove the age-inappropriate books that undermine families and don’t belong in our schools.

The Stakes in This Election

This contest is unevenly matched. Progressive opponents are supported by three Political Action Committees that are outspending conservative efforts by a ratio of nearly three to one. Their influx of external funding aims to suppress our voice and secure full dominance over the board.

Without your support, they will prevail—and your tax burden will increase to fund their imprudent priorities.

We require funding to deliver accurate information to all voters ahead of April 7. Every contribution to Francis Howell Families is allocated directly to community engagement, mailers, yard signs, and online campaigns that highlight the spending habits of the progressive candidates.

Contribute today—any amount makes a difference. United, we can balance the scales and ensure our schools prioritize education over tax hikes.
