We sound like a broken record, but we are here to say it once more: Elections Have Consequences! It’s Only Been 4 Months and the Far Left School Board Majority Incinerated $250K of Your Tax Dollars.
Fresh off their victory, School Board President Steven Blair and his FHSD Far Left School Board majority have decided FHSD taxpayers should pay, under the cloak of secrecy, our (now former) Superintendent a year’s salary– without him having worked a single day! Our FHSD community is upset as they demand answers and facts. Our hard working teachers and staff start off the new school year rightfully upset, as they were just recently asked to shoulder the burden of higher medical insurance costs.
Unlike our far left friends at Francis Howell Forward, we have chosen to let the facts guide our response.
Fact- Francis Howell Forward endorsed President Steven Blair and Treasurer Carolie Owens voted “YES” to hire former Superintendent Dominguez just months prior to paying out his $229k settlement. Both Blair and Owens did not hesitate to vote against the previous conservative majority on other issues, so why wouldn’t they speak up if they felt the hiring process was rushed or incomplete? In 2024, both Blair and Owens were endorsed by former superintendent Dr. Renee Schuster, who works for the search firm hired by FHSD for $30,000.
Fact– For the past few years, members and supporters of Francis Howell Forward have run to the media, spreading half truths and false accusations in order to try and gain the upper hand in elections. They opened Pandora’s Box, giving local media the “red meat” to slander our great school district for political gain. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Following the $229K payout, Francis Howell Forward recently published an article filled with lies and unsupported assertions in an attempt to control the public narrative. Additionally, as media scrutiny intensifies, a flurry of online activity from their supporters has attempted to distract and sow confusion within our FHSD community.
We applaud the local media and government watch dogs like Elliot Davis working hard to give our community answers. We applaud our Missouri Auditor for shining the light to find the truth behind how President Steven Blair and his liberal board majority backed our district into a corner where a $229k payout was the best option.
